Krunal Himanshu Pandya is an Indian cricketer who plays for Baroda cricket team in domestic cricket and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the Indian Premier League. He plays as an all-rounder who bats with his left hand and delivers slow left-arm orthodox bowling.[1] He joined the Indian T20I team in 2018 and set the record for the quickest half-century during his ODI debut match. He is the elder brother of Hardik Pandya.[2][3]

Early Life

Krunal Pandya was born in 24 March 1991 in Gujarat, India. He developed an early passion for cricket alongside his younger brother Hardik Pandya. The two brothers followed a training path which brought them success in domestic cricket through their dedicated efforts and consistent achievements.

Krunal Pandya functions as a dependable all-rounder because he can make runs and take wickets during limited-overs matches. Domestic Career

Krunal Pandya made his first-class debut on 6 October 2016 for Baroda cricket team in the Ranji Trophy. He rapidly established himself as a vital team member who led Baroda in both runs and wickets during the 2016-17 Vijay Hazare Trophy competition.

He achieved 366 runs with his eight matches which resulted in a 45.75 batting average while he claimed 11 wickets to demonstrate his ability to perform as a complete player. His most impressive achievements entail scoring multiple centuries while he produced exceptional bowling performances throughout domestic competitions.

He played for India A in a tri-series match against South Africa A and Afghanistan A while he received selection for the Deodhar Trophy squad.[5]

Indian Premier League (IPL)

Krunal Pandya began his IPL journey when he was signed by Mumbai Indians in 2016. His performance during the match established him as a top player according to major cricket platforms who selected him for their IPL XI.

He delivered a match-winning performance in 2017 by scoring 86 runs and taking vital wickets which earned him the Player of the Match award. His ongoing performances helped the team achieve victory because he made important contributions to the Mumbai Indians' success.
