Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is a professional T20 cricket franchise based in Chennai that competes in the Indian Premier League. Established in 2008, the team is one of the most successful and widely supported franchises in the league.
CSK plays its home matches at the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium, commonly known as Chepauk. The franchise is owned by Chennai Super Kings Cricket Limited and is known for its iconic yellow team colors.

History
Chennai Super Kings began their IPL journey in 2008, with MS Dhoni appointed as captain after being bought for a record amount. In their debut season, CSK reached the final but lost to Rajasthan Royals. From the start, the team earned a reputation for consistency and strong leadership.
The period between 2010 and 2011 marked a golden era for CSK. They won their first IPL title in 2010 and successfully defended it in 2011, becoming the first team to do so.
