Dr. Raju Akurathi was born in China Tadepalligudem, Tadepalligudem, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, India, into a humble family background. He finished his secondary education at ZPPH High School, Kadiyadda, Tadepalligudem in 2013. He later pursued his Intermediate education at Sri Pragathi Junior College. He grabbed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the West Godavari Institute of Science and Technology.
