Shivang Kumar
Shivang Kumar is an Indian cricketer who plays as an all-rounder with left-arm wrist spin bowling skills and lower-order batting capabilities. He represents Madhya Pradesh in domestic cricket and plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Early Life
Shivang Kumar was born on 26 May 2002 in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, and grew up in Harthala Railway Colony. His father, Praveen Kumar, worked as a Chief Ticket Inspector and was also a former Ranji cricketer. Shivang developed an interest in cricket at a young age and learned by watching players like Piyush Chawla and Kuldeep Yadav.
Career
Shivang started his domestic career playing for Madhya Pradesh. His bowling skills first attracted attention during his appearances in T20 and List A matches.
He achieved his best bowling performance by taking five wickets against Karnataka during the 2026 Vijay Hazare Trophy cricket match which ended with figures of 5/45. He secured three wickets while allowing 25 runs during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy match against Bihar.
Shivang has demonstrated his capabilities as a batsman in addition to his bowling skills. He scored 67 runs off 69 balls against Jharkhand in the 2025–26 season.
The IPL mini-auction in 2026 resulted in Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) signing him for ₹30 lakh because of his outstanding domestic cricket performances.
