Salil Arora is an Indian cricketer from Amritsar, Punjab. His batting style which he displays through his domestic cricket performances has made him a well-known player. His explosive T20 performances helped him achieve recognition as a domestic cricket player who represented Punjab.[1]

Early Life
Salil Arora was born on 7 November 2002 in Amritsar, Punjab, into a sports-loving family. His father played cricket at the district level and played an important role in introducing him to the game at an early age. From his early childhood, Arora developed a passion for cricket which he cultivated through continuous practice and participation in local cricket competitions.
Career
Salil Arora first gained recognition when he represented India's Under-19 team. He joined the Dhruv Jurel-led team which achieved victory in the Under-19 Asia Cup tournament during 2019. He played in the tournament match against Afghanistan where he scored 29 runs while opening the batting during a challenging run chase.
He made his senior debut in the 2024 Ranji Trophy for Punjab and impressed immediately by scoring a century in his debut match against Madhya Pradesh. He came into the match at a challenging point when his team scored 48 runs with 5 wickets lost which he used to help his team reach a match-winning score.
Arora delivered his most impressive performance during the 2025 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy tournament. He achieved a remarkable performance during the Jharkhand match when he scored 125 runs without getting out while facing only 45 balls. This innings became one of the highest scores in Punjab's tournament history.
He achieved his best performance during the 2025 SMAT season by scoring 359 runs across nine innings while maintaining an extremely high strike rate which made him the top run-scorer for Punjab and one of the tournament's top six-hitters.
The IPL 2025 auction did not result in Arora being purchased yet he maintained excellent performance throughout his domestic cricket matches. The Abu Dhabi IPL 2026 mini-auction featured multiple teams showing interest in him until Sunrisers Hyderabad acquired him for INR 1.50 crore.

Salil Arora demonstrates his batting strength through his ability to hit powerfully and use aggressive batting techniques which he demonstrates in T20 matches. His performance under high-pressure situations enables him to execute match-winning batting displays.
